In January 2025, Diana Lufti, a group of ex-transgender activists and their promoters submitted an open letter requesting that the United States Senate confirm Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Secretary of Health and Human Services.
Background
The letter states it was “written by Diana Lutfi, JD, MSHCM, CPHQ.” On January 15, 2025, Mary Margaret Olohan published an exclusive report on the letter for the Daily Wire. On January 29, 2025, the letter was posted on X by “Chloe Cole,” aka Chloe Brockman. Brockman’s post states it was “spread / reached by several detransitioners, including Laura Becker, Chloe Cole, Abel Garcia, and Camille Kiefel.” Brockman’s post states, “This effort was entirely voluntary, and grassroots-driven. We are in full support of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. We want to build more bridges and have more discussions. For media inquiries or questions, please contact [email protected], or any of the detransitioners named since they are living proof of medical abuse.”
The letter states in part: “Our stories and tragedies could have been avoided if our healthcare system were honest and transparent with us about the risks of what some of us believed we wanted, what we were told we needed, and what we sought help for. The process of medically transitioning for many of us was not only easy, it was encouraged, and it was pushed by our healthcare system and our doctors because it was considered the standard of care. We were not told about the associated risks of medically transitioning. We had only discovered these risks upon seeing our bodies deteriorate in attempts to reject the medical interventions and once we chose to detransition. And the process of detransitioning was hard and was discouraged by the broad medical community. Some of us have lost family and friends because of it.”
