Lorna Fraser vs. transgender people

Lorna Fraser is a British academic specializing in paediatric palliative care and epidemiology. Fraser’s work examines clinical medicine and population health research.

Fraser was a co-author on the 2024 York Review, a series of papers commissioned by the Cass Review as a pretext for restricting or banning trans healthcare for minors.

Background

Fraser earned a medical degree from University of Aberdeen. Fraser worked as a pediatrician in Scotland, gaining practical experience in the care of children with serious and chronic illnesses. Fraser then undertook postgraduate study at the University of Leeds, earning a master’s degree and a doctorate there.

Fraser joined the Department of Health Sciences at the University of York as Professor of Epidemiology and founding director of the Martin House Research Centre. In this role Fraser led studies examining the prevalence of life-limiting conditions in children and the provision of palliative care services.
