“Ginny Welsh” is the name used by someone who claims to be an ex-transgender activist. “Welsh” has published articles for anti-trans hate group Genspect since August 2025.

Background
According to a biography of “Ginny Welsh” that appears on all Genspect posts:
Ginny Welsh is an artist and writer who spent her teen and early adult years enthralled with the world of transition. Though her medical transition would be seen as “successful”, the process was one of medical neglect and destruction. Disillusioned by the culture of delusion, lies, and inevitable health issues associated with transition, she finally began her detransition in 2024. She now lives as a happily married lesbian, deconstructing the industry of transition through her work.
According to posts by “Welsh”:
- claims to have experienced childhood sexual assault and bullying
- claims to have become interested in transition around age 14
- claims to have underwent top surgery in around 2021 with a woman surgeon who specializes in the procedure for trans patients
- claims to have experienced complications and unsatisfactory cosmetic results
- claims to have stopped hormones in 2023
- claims to have began detransition in 2024
“Welsh” has reportedly scrubbed all old online information, so there is no way to confirm independently if anything “Welsh” claims is true.
