‘City Journal’ vs. transgender people

City Journal is a publication of American anti-transgender think tank Manhattan Institute for Policy Research.

Magazine (1990–)

City Journal magazine is published quarterly in print. It was founded in 1990, with its first issue appearing in Autumn/Winter 1990.

Richard Vigilante served as the founding editor at launch. Vigilante was succeeded in the early 1990s by Fred Siegel. In 1994, Myron Magnet became editor until 2006, then became editor-at-large. In late 2006 Brian C. Anderson was appointed editor. Anderson was previously a senior editor for about ten years. Anderson oversaw both the print magazine and expanded online content.

Group blog

City Journal launched a wesbite in 1998 to deliver a digital version of the print publication, as well as back issues. In 2002, they began an online feature called New & Newsworthy with a blog called Eye on News.

Anderson expanded City Journal into an online group blog.
