Moms for Liberty vs. transgender people

Moms for Liberty (M4L) is a conservative American “parental rights” organization that opposes education that is inclusive of LGBTQ people.

M4L has collaborated with other anti-transgender activists, including Derrick Jensen, Ron DeSantis, Dennis Prager, Vivek Ramaswamy, Billboard Chris, James Lindsay, Sebastian Gorka, Rush Limbaugh, January Littlejohn, and Jaimee Michell of Gays Against Groomers.

Moms for Liberty was directly involved in anti-trans initiatives during US President Donald Trump’s second term.

Background

Moms For Liberty was founded in January 2021. Its founders and founding chapter are connected to national anti-LGBTQ groups including the Heritage Foundation.

The group held their first national gathering in Tampa, Florida, in July 2022.
