Beth Stelzer is an amateur powerlifter and anti-transgender activist. Stelzer is a prominent opponent of trans athletes competing in sex-segregated competitive sport. In 2019, Stelzer founded Save Women’s Sports.
Background
Elizabeth M. Deichtman Stelzer was born in February 1985.
Stelzer began powerlifting as an adult after being introduced to the sport around 2018. Stelzer’s first sanctioned competition was in 2019. Following disruption of a women’s state championship by protests related to their inclusion policy, Stelzer launched Save Women’s Sports.

Stelzer has gone on to testify in several states in support of bans on trans athletes and has appeared in the media.
