Forrest Smith is an American ex-transgender activist. Smith made a medical transition as an adult and later decided to “detransition.” Smith gets money and attention by making it harder for others to get trans healthcare.

Background

Smith grew up in Oregon and started a gender transition at age 19. Smith went by Ramona and sought out supportive local resources. Smith had regret after 5 years.

In July 2025, Smith was a panelist at theĀ 2025 US Federal Trade Commission anti-trans workshop.
