Leonore Tiefer vs. transgender people

Leonore Tiefer is an American psychologist and anti-transgender activist. Tiefer is involved in Genspect and other anti-trans projects.

Key projects include the New View Campaign to rethink models of sexual health for women.

Tiefer is the author of the 1994 book Sex Is Not A Natural Act & Other Essays.

Background

Tiefer was born on February 5, 1944. Tiefer earned an undergraduate degree at the University of California, Berkeley in 1965, then earned a doctorate there in 1969. UC Berkeley has one of the most notoriously conservative psychology departments in the world. Tiefer later earned a doctorate in Clinical Psychology, from New York University in 1988.
