Keith Jordan vs. transgender people

Keith Jordan is a British travel agent and anti-transgender activist. Jordan founded anti-trans “parental rights” group Our Duty. Jordan is the unaccepting parent of a gender diverse child.

Jordan has contributed to anti-trans publications, including The Critic and a personal Substack.

Background

Keith Hamilton Jordan was born in May 1965. Jordan previously was a teacher and ran an agency called Lucid Travel. Jordan founded Cintelo Limited in 2026.

Anti-trans activism

According to a post by Jordan, in autumn 2016, Jordan’s child came out as trans, “having been groomed by her school and Allsorts Youth.” Jordan claims this child was afflicted with “rapid onset gender dysphoria,” a disease created and promoted by anti-transgender activists. In 2017 Jordan spoke with Stephanie Davies-Arai at Transgender Trend about parent resources. Jordan then attended a Woman’s Place UK event in Brighton featuring “detransitioner” Gill Smith and Kathleen Stock among others. Jordan noted:

On 5th December 2018 I hosted a meeting at the Marquis of Cornwallis pub in Bloomsbury for parents of ROGD kids and any other interested parties. This was the day parent peer-support in UK moved from online and into the real world.

The group started growing. We used a Slack community ‘Critical Critters’ which allowed us to grow an online membership of about 60.

In the Spring of 2019 my daughter started taking testosterone, I was wrecked.

By the Summer of 2019 we decided to have a business meeting to decide upon a name and become properly established. The meeting was scheduled for October 12th in a hotel in Bayswater.

Jordan invited writer Joani Walsh to attend, but others objected to having the event covered. Ex-trans activist Charlie Evans was scheduled to speak. This meeting did not go as Jordan had planned, and Jordan was reportedly supplanted in a “boardroom coup” by “upstarts.” The group had a rift over the affirmative model of care, with Jordan taking a hardline stance with the following views:

The NHS was unsafe, no child was transgender, Kellie-Jay Keen (aka Posie Parker) was marvellous, this was an international endeavour (how could we turn down an overseas parent coming for help), all opposite-sex imitation medicine should be classified as cosmetic and elective. 

The group then split into Bayswater Support Group and Our Duty in late 2019. Jordan stated “It took about two months for the resulting nervous breakdown to arrive, and a good few more afterwards for it to pass.” Jordan incorporated Our Duty in 2020.

Jordan stated “It was the publication of one fictitious account in Dr Az Hakeem’s book Detrans that finally tipped me into telling this story.”

In 2024, Jordan was a signotory on a UK Public Inquiry request seeking to restrict or ban trans healthcare.
