CĂ©line Masson vs. transgender people

Céline Masson is a French psychologist and a key figure in French anti-transgender activism. Masson is co-director of anti-trans group Observatoire La Petite Sirène [Little Mermaid Watch] (OPS).

Background

Céline Ann Masson (sometimes styled Céline Maçon) was born in 1971. Masson attended University of Strasbourg, then earned a doctorate from Université Paris Cité in 1999. From 2001 to 2015, Masson was Maître de conférences at Université Paris Diderot Paris 7.

Anti-trans activism

On February 27, 2021, Masson, Anna Cognet, and Caroline Eliacheff co-founded Observatoire La Petite Sirène.

In 2023, Eliacheff and Masson received the 2023 Marcelle Blum bursary for their anti-trans work.
