TransNormal is a podcast hosted by Laura Targownik and Jo Ellis. They discuss topics from a moderate assimilationist / conservative trans perspective.

Background

The show was started in April 2025. The hosts describe the show thus:

A transgender movement for the integration minded. A common sense approach. Not Left, not Right, but reasonable. Centrist minded folks that want to assimilate as best as they can and enjoy rights and privileges non-trans people enjoy. An adult conversation that advances a pragmatic outcome-focused approach to trans advocacy. We need to address issues like self ID, sports, healthcare for children, public bathrooms, etc. All or nothing approaches to these issues is the problem. WHY? Radical trans activism hurts everyday trans people. We can’t have a nuanced discussion about trans topics or make progress because both sides have given 0 space for common sense. The backlash from the last 10 years of self ID, bad actors infiltrating public spaces, prisons, etc., and clearly unstable people masquerading as trans people who honestly make me look like a cartoon character…or worse…a predator.
