Aria Stevens and transgender people

Aria Stevens is an American ex-transgender activist. Stevens was active in the ex-trans movement during its resurgence in the early 2020s.

Background

According to an interview with anti-trans activist Benjamin Boyce, Aria Stevens was born in 1987 and grew up in a “very religious” Assembly of God home. Stevens attended Asbury University from around 2005 to 2007, but left due to poor grades. Stevens later attended University of Massachusetts Boston, earning a bachelor’s degree in 2015. Stevens was active on the Susan’s Place forum and became interested in making a gender transition through posting there and through the show Transparent. Stevens transitioned through Fenway Health in Boston and came out at age 30. After starting hormones, Stevens was in a relationship with an older trans woman. In around 2018, Stevens moved from Massachusetts to Wisconsin. Stevens started to consume conservative trans media on YouTube and engage in gender critical and ex-trans spaces online. Stevens eventually decided “transition didn’t help” and stopped taking hormones. Stevens said in that interview “I’m not anti trans people, but I am anti transition as a treatment.”
