Democratic Women’s Declaration is an anti-transgender manifesto created by Kara Dansky in 2024 and reportedly signed by a number of anti-trans activists and organizations.

Background

According to its website, “The Democratic Women’s Declaration stands firm on protecting sex-based rights. Key areas include maternal services, single-sex spaces, and freedom of expression.”

The Democratic Women’s Declaration was inspired by three similar manifestos:

• Declaration on Women’s Sex-Based Rights by Women’s Declaration International
• Labour Women’s Declaration
• Green Women’s Declaration

The declaration was released by Dansky on June 11, 2024. It was supported by organizations The Red Tent Collective and Democrats for an Informed Approach to Gender (DIAG). By the end of 2025, Dansky claimed 344 people have signed it. The signers are not listed.
