‘The Progressive’ and transgender people

The Progressive Magazine is an American media organization. Their coverage of transgender topics is consistently fair and accurate.

Background

The publication was founded in 1909 as La Follette’s Weeklyby Wisconsin Senator Robert M. La Follette Sr. and spouse Belle Case La Follette. It was later named La Follette’s. In 1929, it rebranded as The Progressive. In 1940, it came under the control of National Progressives of America / Progressive Inc.
