Travis Morrell is an American dermatologist and anti-transgender activist. Morell founded anti-trans groups Colorado Principled Physicians and Colorado Principled Physicians Education Committee. Morrell is a senior fellow at anti-trans hate group Do No Harm.
Background
Travis John Morrell was born in February of 1984. Morrell attended Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 2010 and a master’s degree in 2015. Morrell completed a dermatology residency ar Loma Linda University Health Education Consortium in 2017 and a dermatopathology fellowship at University of Massachusetts in 2018.
Morrell practices at Mountain West Dermatology in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Morrell and spouse Mindy Morrell have three children.
Anti-transgender activism
In 2024, Morrell was named a senior fellow at anti-trans hate group Do No Harm.
In 2024, Morrell was a signatory on an amicus curiae brief submitted to the Supreme Court in United States v. Skrmetti.
In 2024, Morrell established 501(c)(4) nonprofit Colorado Principled Physicians Education Committee. In 2025, Morell founded anti-trans 501(c)(3) nonprofit Colorado Principled Physicians.
In May, 2025 anti-trans group Defending Education filed a joint lawsuit on behalf of Colorado Parent Advocacy Network, Protect Kids Colorado, Do No Harm and Morrell over House Bill 25-1312, which had just been signed into law by Governor Jared Polis.Â
In 2025, Colorado Principled Physicians and Morrell as an individual were listed as a signatories on a citizen petition submitted to the US Food and Drug Administration, seeking to restrict or ban off-label use of feminizing hormones.
