Julia Casimo is a British accountant and anti-transgender activist. Casimo served as treasurer and trustee of anti-trans group Sex Matters.
Background
Julia Denise Casimo was born in November 1963. Casimo earned a bachelor’s degree from Imperial College London in 1985, then attended Belvedere School Liverpool in 1986.
From 1985 to 2000, Casimo worked at Imperial Chemical Industries. In 2000, Casimo was named a managing partner of John Kerr Chartered Accountants.
Casimo was diagnosed with high grade uterine leiomyosarcoma in 2016 and has undergone dozens of treatments and procedures. Casimo has served as trustee for Leiomyosarcoma Research UK and Student Futures.
Anti-trans activism
Sex Matters for Everyone Ltd was incorporated as company number 12974690 on October 26, 2020. Casimo was appointed treasurer of Sex Matters in 2023 and was named a trustee in April 2024. In 2025, Casimo was named joint vice-chair with Kate Owen. Casimo was removed from the Sex Matters listing of board members in 2026.
Between 2023 and 2025, Casimo was a signer on several letters sent on behalf of Sex Matters.
