Jenifer K. McGuire is an American researcher and author. McGuire’s work centers on the health, gender identity development, and family well‑being of transgender and gender‑diverse adolescents and young adults.
Background
Jenifer Kristine McGuire earned a bachelor’s degree from University of Colorado in 1992, then attended University of Arizona, earning two master’s degrees (1998 and 2001) and a doctorate in 2003.
In 2012, McGuire was a Visiting Research Scientist, Center for Expertise on Gender Dysphoria in Amsterdam. While working there, McGuire published with a number of prominent researchers in healthcare for trans youth, including:
