Iva MarĂn Adrichem is a Dutch-Icelandic singer, songwriter, and anti-transgender activist.
Background
Iva MarĂn Adrichem was born on July 18, 1998 in ReykjavĂk, Iceland. One parent is Dutch and the other Icelandic. Adrichem’s family lived in Amsterdam intil moving back to Iceland when Adrichem was nine. As a teenager, Adrichem performed in several national singing contests and in several operas.
Adrichem performs under the mononym Iva. Adrichem was born with a visual impairment.
Anti-trans activism
In September 2020, Adrichem and Eldur Smári Kristinsson co-founded LBG teymið [LGB Team], the Icelandic branch of LGB Alliance. It was later renamed Samtökin 22 before settling on the name LGB Samtökin.
In 2021, Adrichem and Kristinsson were guests on The Mess We’re In, a podcast hosted by anti-trans extremist Graham Linehan.
