Beth Bourne vs. transgender people

Beth Bourne is an American anti-transgender extremist. Bourne is the unaccepting parent of a gender diverse child and is affiliated with anti-trans extremist group Moms for Liberty.

Background

Bourne earned a bachelor’s degree from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo in 1992 and a master’s degree from UC Davis in 1998.

Bourne was an assistant planner for the City of Davis from 1999 to 2002, then a senior planner for the City of Palo Alto from 2002 to 2007. Starting in 2014, Bourne was a program manager at UC Davis.

Anti-trans activism

Bourne became notorious for anti-trans trolling in and around Davis, California, as well as online.

In 2024, Bourne went viral after going on a tirade about drag queens Bourne encountered in a hotel lobby in Hawaii.

Bourne was laid off by UC Davis in June 2025.

In July 2025, Bourne was a panelist at the 2025 US Federal Trade Commission anti-trans workshop.
