Daniel Greenwald archive

Daniel Paul Greenwald (February 14, 1960–October 5, 2019) was an American plastic surgeon who served our community.

Background

Greenwald earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Princeton University He graduated from the Yale University School of Medicine in 1985 and was licensed in Florida that year. He completed his internship at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and his plastic surgery residency at the University of Chicago Hospital. Specializing in hand surgery, Greenwald went on to serve as head of plastic surgery at Tampa General Hospital.

Greenwald’s clinic offered a range of trans medical services, including hormones and surgery.

In 2003, Tampa neurosurgeon David Cahill and a passenger died after crashing a private plane he and Greenwald owned together. Greenwald was not on board at the time. Greenwald had a crash in 2008 that injured himself and his passenger. Greenwald died in 2019 after crashing his private plane during a solo flight near Kokomo, Indiana.
