Transgender hysterectomy

Some transgender men and transmasculine people undergo hysterectomy (removal of uterus) as part of a gender transition. This is a type of bottom surgery that is often done in conjunction with a salpingectomy (also known as an oophorectomy, removal of ovaries).

Important: These genital surgeries will change your body so you can’t ever make children. Those who wish to have this done must review their reproductive options before having surgery.
