TIME is an American news publication. Their coverage of trans issues in the 21st century has been fair, inclusive, and respectful.
Background
TIME was founded in 1923 by Briton Hadden and Henry Luce. The weekly magazine became known for explaining the news through people, especially through featuring one notable person on the cover of each issue.
In 1989. Time and Warner Communications merged to become Time Warner. In 2000, AOL acquired Time Warner, which went by the name AOL Time Warner until 2003. In 2017 Meredith Corporation acquired Time, Inc. and sold it the next year to Salesforce co-founder Marc Benioff.

Transgender coverage
Journalist Katy Steinmetz has led TIME‘s coverage of gender identity and expression, producing a number of influential pieces on the subject.
On June 9, 2014, TIME featured trans actor Laverne Cox on the cover.
On March 27, 2017, TIME featured Marie, a queer and gender nonconforming person.
In April 2021, TIME featured trans actor Elliot Page on the cover.
Several trans people have been named to the TIME 100, an annual list of notable and influential people. Honorees include Imara Jones, Chase Strangio, Janet Mock, Laverne Cox, Daniela Vega, and Raquel Willis.
TIME also names a Person of the Year annually. Caitlyn Jenner was a runner-up in 2015.
