Evangelicals Now is a British evangelical Christian publication that produces consistently anti-transgender content. In addition to original reporting, they also republish work that originally appeared in other anti-trans publications, including Christian Concern, The Christian Institute, The Critic, The Times, The Guardian, The Sunday Herald, Conservative Woman, and Crosswalk.
In 2026, Evangelicals Now was listed by Amnesty International UK in retracted reports on anti-rights movements in the United Kingdom.
Background
Evangelicals Now was founded as a print newspaper in 1986 by Bob Horn and incorporated as Evangelicals Now Limited on February 23, 1987. In 1992, John Benton became editor and served for more than twenty-six years. In 1999, Evangelicals Now launched a website and gradually built a substantial digital archive, which today contains articles dating from 1996, with complete editions available from 2014 onward.
In 2019, Jonathan Worsley served as editor until being replaced by David Baker in 2020.
The newspaper currently publishes monthly in print while its website carries news, opinion, features, book reviews, and reader correspondence. In July 2024, Evangelicals Now launched a redesigned website.
