Walker Magrath and transgender people

Walker Magrath is an American physician who has written several papers on transgender topics including voice, insurance, and the closure of the Johns Hopkins Gender Identity Clinic in 1979.

Background

Walker J. Magrath was born in June 1997 in Spring Gap, Maryland and grew up in Cumberland, Maryland. Magrath earned a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University in 2019. After a fellowship at AO Research Institute Davos, Magrath earned a medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2024. Magrath then began a psychiatry residence at University of California, San Diego.
