Shelley Crowley vs. transgender people

Shelley Crowley is a Canadian anti-transgender activist.

Background

Crowley grew up in West Vancouver, BC and graduated from Sentinel Secondary School in 1972. Crowley operates BCSG Enterprises Ltd.

From 2001 to 2008, Crowley operated Queen of Cups tea house in the town of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia while spouse Brian Lee Crowley led the Atlantic Institute for Market Studies (AIMS). Queen of Cups Tea Company is now an online tea retailer.

Brian Lee Crowley founded conservative think tank Macdonald-Laurier Institute in 2010. They currently live in Ottawa and attend St Mark the Evangelist Anglican Church.

Anti-transgender activism

Both Crowleys are sex segregationists whose primary concerns surround maintaining sex segregation in Canada.

Both oppose policy revisions regarding transgender athletes and transgender prisoner accommodations.
