Democrats for an Informed Approach to Gender (DIAG) is an American anti-transgender organization. It is part of the “parental rights” movement of anti-trans activists.
DIAG claims, âWeâre Dems, or recently ex-Dems, or newly politically homeless former Dems, who still hold onto our liberal values but believe that our party has veered way off track.â
In 2025, anti-trans activist Azeen Ghorayshi promoted DIAG’s claim of being from the left: “In the United States, a coalition of critics of youth gender medicine from both the right and the left have argued for banning the treatments.”
Background
Founder Lauren Wohl-Sanchez is the unaccepting parent of a gender diverse child.
In 2024, the DIAG website went live, and they were registered with the IRS as a nonprofit.
